As a Security Officer - Unarmed Aero Patrol Specialist in Chula Vista, CA, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Aero/Defense, and more. As a Patrol Unarmed Officer with Allied Universal, you will monitor and patrol designated areas within an aerospace and defense location, helping to deter security-related incidents and maintaining a visible presence. You will conduct routine patrols, interact with personnel, and provide outstanding customer service. Requirements

  • At least one year of security-related experience is required.
  • Proof of high school diploma or GED is required by the client.
  • Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver's license will be required for driving positions only.

Nice To Haves

  • Customer service experience is preferred.
  • A guard card or license is preferred.
  • Experience with access control or badge systems is preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Provide customer service to clients by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies and/or emergency response activities as needed.
  • Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner while maintaining professionalism.
  • Conduct regular and random patrols throughout the location and its perimeter to help to deter unauthorized activity and identify any irregularities.
  • Monitor entrances, exits, and sensitive areas to help to deter unauthorized access and report any suspicious activities or persons.
  • Document observations, incidents, and/or activities according to site and Allied Universal protocols.
  • Collaborate with other Allied Universal personnel and site contacts to address security-related matters and support emergency preparedness.
  • Remain alert to potential security-related risks specific to aerospace and defense environments and respond according to established procedures.
