Job Description As a Security Officer - Unarmed Access Control in Mesa, AZ, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Aero/Defense, and more. As an Unarmed Patrol Officer with Allied Universal at a leading aero and defense location, you will conduct routine patrols, stay visible to help discourage security-related incidents, and support a professional workplace through clear communication and customer service. This is a driving post requiring a valid driver’s license. Requirements
- Have at least 2+ years of security-related experience.
- Be 21+ years of age.
- A valid driver’s license is required in accordance with Allied Universal driver policy requirements.
- Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
- Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
- As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
- Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
- As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
- Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
- A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
Nice To Haves
- CPR/First Aid certification is preferred and may be completed post hire.
Responsibilities
- Provide customer service to clients by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities at an aerospace and defense location.
- Conduct regular and random unarmed patrols of buildings, production areas, parking lots, and perimeter fencing to help to deter unwanted activity and/or identify hazards and unusual conditions.
- Monitor access control points by verifying credentials, processing visitors and deliveries per site policy, and directing individuals to appropriate check-in locations.
- Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, coordinating notifications to site contacts and/or public responders as required.
- Complete detailed activity logs and incident reports, communicate observations to supervisors and client representatives, and support security-related investigations as requested.
