As a Security Officer Enhanced Part Time Access Associate in Mc Lean, VA, this role provides reliable, consistent hours at an assigned site with the flexibility to earn more by picking-up additional shifts when it works for you. The role involves a fixed-shift commitment ("Anchor Shifts") at a designated site and weekly shift, requiring a six (6) month commitment. Additionally, employees may pick-up extra shifts through the "Claim-A-Shift Program" to increase earnings and gain experience across multiple sites, allowing for flexibility to work part-time hours one week and full-time the next. This role is ideal for candidates seeking part-time employment with flexibility, income stability, and opportunities to build up to a full-time schedule of up to 40 hours per week, always with the option to scale back when needed.

Nice To Haves

• Access control and badge experience is preferred.
• Customer service experience is preferred.
• Comfortable using a computer or tablet is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service by greeting visitors, verifying access permissions, and communicating site-specific policies and procedures at the front desk.
• Monitor entry activity, visitor logs, deliveries, and/or vendor arrivals while maintaining awareness of security-related concerns at the location.
• Respond to incidents, questions, and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, and report observed issues to site leadership and/or Allied Universal management.
• Support front desk operations by answering calls, directing guests and associates, issuing visitor credentials, and documenting security-related events and unusual activity.
• Assist with emergency response activities by following post orders, contacting appropriate personnel, and helping to coordinate lobby access during urgent situations.
