You will conduct routine patrols, stay highly visible to help to deter security-related incidents, and support daily operations through clear communication and customer service. This is a driving post, requiring a valid driver’s license that meets Allied Universal driver policy requirements. Bring agility, reliability, innovation, teamwork, and integrity to every shift.

Requirements

  • A TSA issued TWIC is required.
  • Client requires proof of high school diploma and/or GED.
  • A valid driver’s license is required in accordance with Allied Universal driver policy requirements.
  • The ability to lift up to 20 lbs is preferred.
  • Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Responsibilities

  • Provide customer service to site personnel and visitors by following Allied Universal security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities.
  • Conduct regular and random foot and/or vehicle patrols of government port facilities, docks, administrative areas, parking areas, and perimeter points to help to deter unauthorized activity.
  • Control access at entry points by verifying identification and/or credentials, directing visitors and deliveries, and documenting entries and exits per post orders.
  • Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, coordinating with site contacts and public agency partners as directed.
  • Complete detailed security-related reports, including patrol logs, incident reports, and observations of unusual conditions, and communicate relevant information to the appropriate personnel.
