About The Position

As a Security Officer - TWIC Compliance in Alvin, TX, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Chemical/Petrochemical, and more. As an Allied Universal Security Officer at a chemical and petrochemical location, you will monitor and patrol assigned areas, conduct routine rounds, and stay visible to help to deter security-related incidents. You will control access, observe for unusual activity, document findings, and communicate clearly with site personnel and responders. Bring a customer-service mindset as you support an agile, reliable, and innovative team that puts people first and acts with integrity.

Requirements

  • Possess a TSA issued TWIC.
  • A guard card and/or license is preferred.
  • Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Responsibilities

  • Provide customer service to site personnel and visitors by following Allied Universal security-related procedures, location-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities in an industrial chemical processing environment.
  • Control access to the location by verifying identification, coordinating visitor check-in and/or badging, documenting deliveries, and directing drivers and guests to the proper areas.
  • Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, including initiating notifications, coordinating with site contacts, and documenting actions taken.
  • Conduct regular and random patrols of production areas, tank farms, warehouses, and perimeter points to help to deter unauthorized activity and/or identify hazards or abnormal conditions for reporting.
  • Complete accurate reports and logs, including shift activity, incident documentation, and equipment checks, and communicate relevant information to oncoming officers and/or site management.
