As a Screener at a busy logistics and distribution location, you will greet team members and visitors, verify credentials, conduct entry screening, and monitor activity through cameras and access systems. This is a driving post, so you may move between checkpoints as needed. Requirements

• Have at least 6 months of security-related experience.
• Be at least 21 years of age.
• A valid driver’s license is required in accordance with Allied Universal driver policy requirements.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Nice To Haves

• Customer service experience is preferred.
• Be comfortable using a computer or tablet is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to clients and site personnel by following security-related procedures, location-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities at a logistics and distribution location.
• Screen employees, visitors, vendors, and drivers at entry points by verifying identification, confirming authorization, and directing individuals to the proper check-in and/or staging areas.
• Conduct screening of packages, parcels, and personal items as required by site policy, documenting exceptions and reporting prohibited or suspicious items to site leadership.
• Monitor access control systems, cameras, and alarms, and respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, including completing detailed reports as required.
• Conduct regular and random patrols of docks, trailer yards, parking areas, and the perimeter to help to deter unauthorized activity, with working environments and conditions that may vary by location.
