About The Position

As a Security Officer - Truck Gate in Denver, PA, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Retail/Malls, and more. As an Allied Universal Security Professional assigned to an access control post in a retail environment, you will monitor entrances and exits, conduct routine patrols, and help to deter security-related incidents. Your presence and communication skills will contribute to a welcoming atmosphere for visitors and staff. Requirements

Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Nice To Haves

Customer service experience is preferred.
Comfortable using a computer or tablet is preferred.

Responsibilities

Provide customer service by following security-related procedures and site-specific policies at the retail location.
Monitor access points to help to deter unauthorized entry and maintain a secure environment for employees, customers, and property.
Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, including emergency response activities as appropriate.
Conduct regular and random patrols throughout the store and surrounding perimeter to help to deter suspicious activity and address potential concerns.
Document and report any irregularities, such as property damage, theft, or unusual occurrences, according to Allied Universal protocols.
Work collaboratively with store staff and management to support security-related needs and maintain a welcoming atmosphere for customers.
Maintain a visible presence to help to deter potential issues and provide assistance to those in need within the retail environment.
