As an Allied Universal Security Officer assigned to an access control post in a retail location, you will monitor entrances and exits, conduct routine patrols, and help to deter security-related incidents. You will interact with customers and staff, providing outstanding customer service and clear communication. Requirements

Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Nice To Haves

Customer service experience is preferred.
Comfortable using a computer or tablet is preferred.

Responsibilities

Provide customer service to clients and visitors by carrying out security-related procedures and site-specific policies, as well as responding to emergency situations when appropriate.
Monitor and control access to the location, verifying credentials of individuals entering or exiting the premises to help to deter unauthorized entry.
Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, documenting and reporting events as required.
Conduct regular and random patrols around the retail or mall location and its perimeter to help to deter suspicious activity.
Observe and report any unusual or suspicious behavior, hazards, or security-related concerns within the location.
Communicate with Allied Universal management and/or local authorities as needed for escalated issues or emergencies.
Maintain a visible presence to help to deter unwanted activity and provide assistance to customers, employees, and visitors as needed.
