Job Description As a Security Officer - Truck Gate in York, PA , you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Cultural Institutions, and more. As an Access Control Officer with Allied Universal, you will monitor and patrol assigned areas within a cultural institution, helping to deter security-related incidents and providing a welcoming presence for visitors and staff. You will utilize your customer service skills and technology to manage access points, respond to alarms, and assist with security-related matters. Requirements

Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Nice To Haves

Customer service experience is preferred.
Access control or badge experience is preferred.
Comfortable using a computer or tablet is preferred.
Alarm panel experience is preferred.

Responsibilities

Monitor and control access to the location, verifying identification and credentials of visitors, staff, and contractors.
Provide customer service by assisting guests, answering inquiries, and directing individuals as needed within the location.
Carry out security-related procedures and follow site-specific policies to help maintain a secure environment.
Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, following established protocols.
Conduct regular and random patrols throughout the location and its perimeter to observe and report suspicious activity or potential concerns.
Document and report security-related incidents, unusual observations, and maintenance issues as required.
Support emergency response activities when appropriate, providing guidance and assistance to individuals at the location.
