As a Patrol Unarmed Officer with Allied Universal, you will monitor and patrol assigned government locations, remaining visible to help deter potential security-related incidents. You will conduct routine patrols, interact with the public, and provide outstanding customer service and communication. Requirements

  • Must have at least 2 years of security-related experience.
  • Must be at least 21 years of age.
  • Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Nice To Haves

  • Possession of a guard card or license is preferred.
  • A state, county, or city issued security license is preferred.
  • Customer service experience is preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Provide customer service to clients and visitors by following security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and responding to emergency situations as needed.
  • Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner.
  • Conduct regular and random patrols throughout the assigned location and perimeter to help to deter unauthorized activity and identify potential issues.
  • Observe and report any irregularities, such as equipment or property damage, presence of unauthorized persons, or unusual occurrences.
  • Communicate clearly and professionally with team members, site personnel, and local authorities as required.
  • Complete detailed and accurate written reports on incidents, observations, and daily activities.
  • Assist with access control by verifying identification and/or credentials of individuals entering restricted areas.
  • Remain alert and attentive to surroundings to help to deter potential security-related concerns within the government facility.
