About The Position

As a Security Officer - Government Foot Patrol in Los Angeles, CA, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Government, and more. As an unarmed Patrol Officer with Allied Universal at a government location, you will conduct routine foot and/or vehicle patrols, stay highly visible to help to deter security-related incidents, and respond to alarms, access concerns, and requests from staff and visitors. You will document observations, communicate clearly, and provide customer service with integrity, teamwork, and a caring, innovative approach.

Requirements

Have at least 1+ years of security-related experience.
Client requires proof of high school diploma or GED.
Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Nice To Haves

Guard Card or license is preferred.
Handcuffing certification is preferred and may be completed post hire.
CPR certification is preferred and may be completed post hire.

Responsibilities

Provide customer service to location staff and visitors by following Allied Universal procedures, site-specific policies, and/or emergency response activities.
Respond to incidents, alarms, and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, escalating to appropriate personnel as needed.
Conduct regular and random unarmed patrols of buildings, grounds, parking areas, and perimeter to help to deter unwanted activity and/or policy violations.
Control access at designated points by verifying identification, managing visitor check-in and/or check-out, and directing visitors to authorized areas.
Complete security-related reports and activity logs, document incidents and observations, and communicate updates to on-site contacts and/or Allied Universal supervision.
