Job Description As a Security Officer - Unarmed Federal Rover in Los Angeles, CA , you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Government, and more. As an unarmed Patrol Officer at a government location, you will monitor and patrol assigned areas, conduct routine rounds, stay highly visible to help to deter security-related incidents, and respond to concerns with calm, professional communication. You will represent Allied Universal with a caring, people-first approach while supporting an agile, reliable, and innovative team that delivers through teamwork and always acts with integrity.

Requirements

  • Have 1 or more years of security-related experience.
  • Client requires proof of high school diploma or GED.
  • Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Nice To Haves

  • Pepper spray certification preferred.
  • Handcuffs and/or pepper spray and/or baton preferred.
  • Customer service experience preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Provide customer service to clients at a government location by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities.
  • Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, including contacting emergency services and/or Allied Universal supervision as needed.
  • Conduct regular and random foot patrols of buildings, grounds, parking areas, and perimeter to help to deter unauthorized activity and identify unusual conditions.
  • Control access by monitoring entrances, verifying identification and/or authorization when required, and directing visitors and vendors in accordance with site procedures.
  • Complete required activity logs and incident reports, communicate site conditions and/or policy concerns to the appropriate personnel, and assist with queue control and customer inquiries.
