Job Description As a Security Officer - Unarmed Federal Rover in Los Angeles, CA , you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Government, and more. As an unarmed Patrol Officer at a government location, you will monitor and patrol assigned areas, conduct routine rounds, stay highly visible to help to deter security-related incidents, and respond to concerns with calm, professional communication. You will represent Allied Universal with a caring, people-first approach while supporting an agile, reliable, and innovative team that delivers through teamwork and always acts with integrity.

Requirements

Have 1 or more years of security-related experience.
Client requires proof of high school diploma or GED.
Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Nice To Haves

Pepper spray certification preferred.
Handcuffs and/or pepper spray and/or baton preferred.
Customer service experience preferred.

Responsibilities

Provide customer service to clients at a government location by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities.
Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, including contacting emergency services and/or Allied Universal supervision as needed.
Conduct regular and random foot patrols of buildings, grounds, parking areas, and perimeter to help to deter unauthorized activity and identify unusual conditions.
Control access by monitoring entrances, verifying identification and/or authorization when required, and directing visitors and vendors in accordance with site procedures.
Complete required activity logs and incident reports, communicate site conditions and/or policy concerns to the appropriate personnel, and assist with queue control and customer inquiries.
