Job Description As a Security Officer - Telecom Patrol in Rock Tavern, NY , you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Tech/Media/Telecom, and more. As a Patrol Unarmed Officer with Allied Universal, you will monitor and patrol assigned tech-focused locations, helping to deter security-related incidents while remaining highly visible. You will conduct routine walkthroughs, interact with visitors and staff, and provide outstanding customer service. Requirements
- At least 1 year of security-related experience is required.
- Must be at least 21 years of age.
- Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
- Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
- As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
- Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
- As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
- Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
- A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
Nice To Haves
- Access control or badge experience is preferred.
- Customer service experience is preferred.
- Comfortable using a computer or tablet is preferred.
Responsibilities
- Provide customer service by carrying out security-related procedures, following site-specific policies, and responding to emergencies when appropriate.
- Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner.
- Conduct regular and random patrols throughout the location and its perimeter to help to deter unauthorized activities and/or potential risks.
- Observe and report any unusual activity, security-related hazards, or potential threats within the location.
- Communicate clearly and professionally with clients, visitors, and/or employees while on patrol.
- Assist with access control procedures, verifying credentials and/or monitoring entry points as required by site protocols.
- Document incidents, observations, and actions taken during patrols according to Allied Universal guidelines.
