Security Officer - Technology Patrol Team Driver
About The Position
As a Security Officer - Technology Patrol Team Driver in Santa Clara, CA, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Tech/Media/Telecom, and more. As an Allied Universal Security Professional in a dynamic tech location, you will perform unarmed patrols and provide a visible presence to help deter security-related incidents. Your role involves routine patrols, engaging with people throughout the site, and upholding our values of teamwork, integrity, and innovation. This is a driving post, so you will be responsible for mobile patrols as you contribute to a secure and welcoming environment.
Requirements
- At least one year of security-related experience is required.
- Applicants must be at least 21 years of age.
- A valid driver’s license is required in accordance with Allied Universal driver policy requirements.
- Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
- As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
- Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
- As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
- Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
- A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
Responsibilities
- Provide customer service to clients by carrying out security-related procedures, following site-specific policies, and responding to emergency situations as appropriate.
- Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm and problem-solving manner, supporting a secure environment.
- Conduct regular and random patrols throughout the premises and surrounding areas to help to deter unwanted activity and identify potential issues.
- Monitor access points, observe for unusual or suspicious behavior, and report any concerns according to established protocols.
- Communicate professionally with visitors, employees, and/or contractors while maintaining a visible presence throughout the location.
- Document observations, incidents, and/or actions taken during patrols and interactions as required by site procedures.
