Requirements

Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws. Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Responsibilities

Provide customer service to employees, contractors, and visitors by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities within a technology and telecommunications location.
Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, including medical calls, suspicious activity, alarms, and access issues.
Conduct regular and random patrols throughout the facility and around the perimeter, including offices, loading areas, parking areas, and common spaces, as required by post orders.
Help to deter unauthorized access by monitoring entry points, checking credentials, and challenging unescorted visitors in accordance with site procedures.
Monitor CCTV, alarm panels, and other security-related systems when assigned, and report irregular conditions to site contacts and Allied Universal leadership.
Control access for deliveries and service providers by verifying authorization, directing to designated areas, and documenting activity per site policy.
Write clear, detailed reports of daily activities, incidents, and observations, including completing required logs and submitting documentation in a timely manner.
Provide assistance during evacuations, drills, and other emergency response activities as directed by site procedures and Allied Universal supervision.
Communicate professionally with client representatives, local responders, and Allied Universal management to support coordinated incident response and routine operations.
Observe and report hazards, maintenance issues, and policy concerns to appropriate personnel to help support an orderly work environment.
