Job Description As a Security Officer - Tech/Media Screener Desk in Manassas, VA , you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Tech/Media/Telecom, and more. As a Screener in a dynamic tech environment, you will help to deter security-related incidents by monitoring access points and verifying credentials, while delivering outstanding customer service. You will use technology and your communication skills to maintain a welcoming atmosphere for all visitors and employees. Requirements

Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Nice To Haves

Customer service experience is preferred.
Comfortable using a computer or tablet is preferred.
Access control or badge experience is preferred.

Responsibilities

Provide customer service to clients and visitors by following security-related procedures and site-specific policies, as well as responding to emergency situations as appropriate.
Screen individuals entering the location, including employees, visitors, and contractors, following established protocols to help to deter unauthorized access.
Monitor entrances and exits to help to deter prohibited items from being brought into the facility.
Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner.
Communicate clearly with team members, site personnel, and/or law enforcement as necessary.
Complete required documentation and reports related to security-related incidents or irregularities.
Remain alert and attentive to surroundings while performing screening duties at the designated post.
