Job Description As a Security Officer - Tech Media Patrols in Virginia Beach, VA , you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Tech/Media/Telecom, and more. As a Patrol Unarmed Officer with Allied Universal, you will monitor and patrol assigned tech and media locations, helping to deter security-related incidents and providing a visible presence. You will conduct routine patrols, interact with clients and visitors, and deliver outstanding customer service while upholding our values of agility, reliability, and innovation. Requirements

• A guard card or license is preferred.
• Experience with access control and/or badge systems is preferred.
• CPR certification is preferred.
• Customer service experience is preferred.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service by carrying out security-related procedures, following site-specific policies, and responding to emergency situations as appropriate.
• Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, assisting with resolution as needed.
• Conduct regular and random patrols throughout the location and its perimeter to help to deter unauthorized activity and/or suspicious behavior.
• Observe and report any unusual activity or security-related incidents encountered during patrols.
• Communicate clearly and professionally with clients, visitors, and Allied Universal management regarding security-related matters.
• Maintain detailed and accurate records of daily activities, incidents, and/or any observations relevant to the post.
• Follow all instructions and protocols provided by Allied Universal and site management for the technology and media environment.
