Job Description As a Security Officer - Tech Media Patrols in De Soto, KS , you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Tech/Media/Telecom, and more. As a Patrol Unarmed Officer with Allied Universal, you will monitor and patrol designated areas within a dynamic technology and media location. You will help to deter security-related incidents by maintaining a visible presence, conducting routine patrols, and providing outstanding customer service. Requirements
- At least 1 year of security-related experience is required.
- Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
- Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
- As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws. Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
- As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
- Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
- A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
Responsibilities
- Provide customer service to clients and visitors by carrying out security-related procedures and site-specific policies, as well as responding to emergency situations as appropriate.
- Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, following established protocols.
- Conduct regular and random patrols throughout the facility and its perimeter to help to deter unauthorized activity and identify potential security-related concerns.
- Monitor entrances, exits, and sensitive areas within the location to help to deter unauthorized access or suspicious activity.
- Document and report any security-related incidents, hazards, or unusual circumstances according to site procedures.
- Communicate with site management and/or Allied Universal leadership regarding security-related matters as needed.
- Assist with access control and visitor management processes as required by the site.
- Support a secure environment for employees, visitors, and contractors within the location.
