As a Security Officer - Tech/Media Patrol Driver in Richmond, VA , you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Tech/Media/Telecom, and more. As a Patrol Unarmed Officer with Allied Universal, you will help to deter security-related incidents by conducting routine patrols and maintaining a visible presence at a dynamic tech and media location. This is a driving post, so you will be responsible for patrolling assigned areas by vehicle while providing exceptional customer service and communication, all while embodying our values of agility, reliability, and teamwork.

Requirements

  • A valid driver's license is required in accordance with Allied Universal driver policy requirements.
  • Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver's license will be required for driving positions only.

Responsibilities

  • Provide customer service to clients by carrying out security-related procedures, following site-specific policies, and responding to emergency situations as appropriate.
  • Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, supporting the needs of the location.
  • Conduct regular and random patrols throughout the premises and perimeter to help to deter unauthorized activity and maintain a visible presence.
  • Monitor access points and observe activity within the location to help to deter potential security-related concerns.
  • Communicate professionally with staff, visitors, and/or vendors to support a secure environment.
  • Document incidents, observations, and/or any unusual occurrences in accordance with Allied Universal protocols.
  • Collaborate with local management and/or law enforcement as needed during incidents or emergencies.
