As a Front Desk Security Officer with Allied Universal at a leading tech and telecom location, you will be the first point of contact for employees and visitors, helping manage access, greet guests, answer questions, and support visitor check-in procedures. You will monitor activity from the lobby, communicate clearly, and document security-related observations, delivering reliable service with integrity, teamwork, and a people-first mindset.
Requirements
- Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
- Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
- As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
- Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
- As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
- Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
- A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
Responsibilities
- Provide customer service at the front desk by following site-specific procedures and security-related policies for a technology and telecom office location.
- Control access by verifying identification, issuing temporary badges, managing visitor check-in and/or check-out, and directing guests to appropriate contacts.
- Monitor lobby activity and security-related systems such as cameras, alarms, and access control panels, and report irregular conditions per post orders.
- Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, including notifying appropriate parties and assisting with emergency response activities when directed.
- Complete required documentation such as shift logs, incident reports, and visitor records, and communicate key information during shift transitions.
