Job Description As a Security Officer - Tech Hub Patrol Driver in Santa Clara, CA , you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Tech/Media/Telecom, and more. As an unarmed, driving patrol officer at a leading tech location, you will conduct routine vehicle and foot patrols, remain highly visible to help reduce security-related incidents, and support access control and incident reporting. You will deliver clear communication and customer service while working with a team that is agile, reliable, innovative, and guided by integrity and a people-first culture at Allied Universal.

Requirements

  • Have at least 1 year of security-related experience.
  • Be at least 21 years of age.
  • A valid driver’s license is required in accordance with Allied Universal driver policy requirements.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Nice To Haves

  • CPR and/or First Aid certification is preferred and may be completed post hire.
  • A guard card and/or security license is preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Provide customer service to employees, visitors, and contractors by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities.
  • Conduct regular and random foot and/or vehicle patrols of office buildings, labs, data center adjacent areas, parking areas, and the exterior perimeter to help to deter unauthorized activity and/or policy violations.
  • Control access at entrances and interior checkpoints by verifying identification, supporting badging processes, and directing visitors to the appropriate check-in location.
  • Monitor alarms, cameras, and other building systems, reporting irregular conditions and escalating concerns according to post orders and client procedures.
  • Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, providing clear information to management, first responders, and/or the Allied Universal leadership team.
  • Complete detailed activity logs and incident reports, documenting observations, actions taken, and follow-up needs in a timely manner.
  • Support workplace conduct and property rules by addressing minor issues with professionalism and requesting assistance when situations require additional resources.
  • Assist with special events, deliveries, and after-hours access requests by coordinating with site contacts and following established authorization procedures.
