Job Description As a Security Officer - Parking Garage Patrol in Overland Park, KS , you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Tech/Media/Telecom, and more. As an Unarmed Patrol Officer with Allied Universal at a tech and telecom location, you will conduct routine patrols of assigned areas, maintain a visible presence to help reduce security-related incidents, and respond to access and alarm activity as needed. You will provide customer-focused service, clear communication, and detailed reporting while supporting a culture that is agile, reliable, innovative, people-first, and grounded in integrity and teamwork.

Requirements

• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to clients, contractors, vendors, and/or visitors by following site-specific security-related procedures, access guidelines, and when appropriate, emergency response activities.
• Respond to alarms, access control alerts, and/or other incidents in a calm, problem-solving manner, and communicate timely updates to site contacts and/or Allied Universal leadership.
• Conduct regular and random patrols of interior areas, building entrances, equipment rooms, loading areas, and the exterior perimeter to help to deter unauthorized activity and/or policy violations.
• Monitor cameras and other security-related systems as assigned, document observations, and report unusual conditions, maintenance concerns, and/or potential hazards per post orders.
• Complete detailed reports of daily activities, incidents, and/or access events, and support security-related investigations by preserving observations and assisting with evidence handling as directed.
