As an Unarmed Patrol Officer with Allied Universal at a tech, media, and telecom location, you will monitor and patrol assigned areas, remain highly visible to help deter security-related incidents, and support access control and visitor flow. You will document activity, communicate clearly with teams, and deliver customer-focused service while using computer or tablet tools. This is a driving post, requiring a valid driver’s license.

Requirements

  • A valid driver’s license is required in accordance with Allied Universal driver policy requirements.
  • Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Nice To Haves

  • CPR/First Aid certification is preferred and may be completed post hire.
  • Access control and/or badge experience is preferred.
  • Comfortable using a computer or tablet is preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Provide customer service to onsite personnel and visitors by following Allied Universal security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and/or emergency response activities as directed.
  • Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, including coordinating notifications and assisting with scene management until additional resources arrive.
  • Conduct regular and random unarmed patrols throughout the location, including offices, common areas, parking areas, and perimeter routes, noting unusual conditions and reporting concerns.
  • Monitor access points and assist with visitor management processes, including checking credentials, maintaining sign-in logs, and directing individuals to appropriate areas per site guidelines.
  • Complete detailed incident reports and daily activity logs, communicate key information to supervisors and/or client contacts, and help to maintain awareness using available site technology such as cameras, alarms, and communication systems.
