About The Position

As a Security Officer - Tech Campus Rounds in Buffalo, NY, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Tech/Media/Telecom, Education, and more. As a Patrol Unarmed Officer with Allied Universal, you will monitor and patrol assigned locations in technology, media, and education environments. Your presence will help to deter security-related incidents, provide exceptional customer service, and maintain open communication with all individuals on site. Requirements

At least one year of armed security-related, law enforcement, or military experience is required.
Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Nice To Haves

CPR and First Aid certification is preferred.
Customer service experience is preferred.
A guard card or license is preferred.
Comfortable using a computer or tablet is preferred.

Responsibilities

Provide customer service to clients by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities.
Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner.
Conduct regular and random patrols around the location and perimeter, with working environments and conditions varying by site.
Observe and report any unusual activity or security-related incidents to management and/or appropriate authorities as needed.
Help to deter unauthorized access and/or suspicious behavior throughout the location through visible presence and patrols.
Support access control procedures by monitoring entry and exit points as required by site-specific policies.
Communicate professionally with staff, visitors, and/or students to provide assistance and information relevant to the location.
Complete detailed and accurate daily activity reports and incident reports in accordance with Allied Universal protocols.
