About The Position

As a Security Officer - Tech Campus Patrol Driver in Chicago, IL, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Tech/Media/Telecom, and more. As a Patrol Unarmed Officer with Allied Universal, you will monitor and patrol assigned areas within a dynamic tech environment, helping to deter security-related incidents and providing exceptional customer service. This is a driving position, and you may also be required to ride a bike as part of your patrol duties. You will play a key role in maintaining a secure atmosphere through visibility, communication, and teamwork, reflecting our commitment to integrity and innovation.

Requirements

At least 2 years of law enforcement, military police, or corrections experience is required.
At least 2 years of security-related experience is required.
Proof of high school diploma or GED is required by the client.
Applicants must be at least 21 years of age.
A valid driver’s license is required in accordance with Allied Universal driver policy requirements.
Applicants must be able to ride a bike.
Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Responsibilities

Provide customer service by carrying out security-related procedures, following site-specific policies, and responding appropriately to emergency situations.
Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner while maintaining professionalism.
Conduct regular and random patrols throughout the facility and surrounding perimeter to help to deter unauthorized activity.
Observe and report any unusual activity or potential threats within the location to Allied Universal management and/or client representatives as required.
Support access control procedures by monitoring entry and exit points, verifying credentials, and assisting visitors as needed.
Document all incidents, activities, and observations in accordance with Allied Universal and client protocols.
Collaborate with other Allied Universal personnel and client staff to maintain a secure and welcoming environment within a technology-focused setting.
