About The Position

As a Security Officer - Tech Campus Patrol Driver in Chicago, IL, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Tech/Media/Telecom, and more. As a Patrol Unarmed Officer with Allied Universal, you will monitor and patrol assigned areas within a dynamic tech environment, helping to deter security-related incidents and providing exceptional customer service. This is a driving position, and you may also be required to ride a bike as part of your patrol duties. You will play a key role in maintaining a secure atmosphere through visibility, communication, and teamwork, reflecting our commitment to integrity and innovation.

Requirements

  • At least 2 years of law enforcement, military police, or corrections experience is required.
  • At least 2 years of security-related experience is required.
  • Proof of high school diploma or GED is required by the client.
  • Applicants must be at least 21 years of age.
  • A valid driver’s license is required in accordance with Allied Universal driver policy requirements.
  • Applicants must be able to ride a bike.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Responsibilities

  • Provide customer service by carrying out security-related procedures, following site-specific policies, and responding appropriately to emergency situations.
  • Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner while maintaining professionalism.
  • Conduct regular and random patrols throughout the facility and surrounding perimeter to help to deter unauthorized activity.
  • Observe and report any unusual activity or potential threats within the location to Allied Universal management and/or client representatives as required.
  • Support access control procedures by monitoring entry and exit points, verifying credentials, and assisting visitors as needed.
  • Document all incidents, activities, and observations in accordance with Allied Universal and client protocols.
  • Collaborate with other Allied Universal personnel and client staff to maintain a secure and welcoming environment within a technology-focused setting.
