About The Position

As a Security Officer - Tech Campus Access in Pasadena, TX, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Tech/Media/Telecom, and more. As an Access Control Officer with Allied Universal, you will monitor and patrol designated areas within a dynamic tech, media, and telecom location. Your role is to help to deter security-related incidents while providing outstanding customer service and clear communication. You will be visible throughout your shift, supporting a secure environment and upholding our values of integrity, teamwork, and putting people first.

Requirements

Comfortable using a computer or tablet is preferred.
Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Responsibilities

Monitor and control access to the premises, verifying credentials and granting entry to authorized individuals in accordance with site-specific procedures.
Provide customer service by assisting employees, visitors, and contractors with access-related inquiries and directions.
Carry out security-related procedures and follow site-specific policies, responding to incidents and emergencies as needed.
Help to deter unauthorized access and/or suspicious activity through visible presence and attentive monitoring.
Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, escalating issues according to established protocols.
Conduct regular and random patrols around the business and perimeter, including sensitive areas where access is restricted.
Maintain detailed logs and reports of access control activities, incidents, and observations as required by site management.
Collaborate with Allied Universal management and site contacts to support a secure and orderly environment at the location.
