As an unarmed Patrol Officer in a healthcare location, you will monitor and patrol assigned areas, conduct routine rounds, and remain highly visible to help to deter security-related incidents. You will assist patients, visitors, and staff with directions and service-focused communication, document observations, and report concerns to site leadership. Requirements

• Have at least 1 year of security-related experience.
• Be at least 21 years of age.
• A guard card and/or license is preferred.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to patients, visitors, and staff by carrying out Allied Universal security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities within a healthcare location.
• Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, including assisting with de-escalation, documenting observations, and notifying site leadership and/or emergency services as directed.
• Conduct regular and random patrols throughout hospital corridors, entrances, waiting areas, and parking areas to help to deter unauthorized activity and/or policy violations.
• Monitor access points and visitor flow, verify credentials and/or authorized access when required, and report suspicious behavior and/or unsecured doors to site leadership.
• Complete security-related reports, incident logs, and patrol documentation, and communicate key information to oncoming personnel during shift transitions.
