As an Unarmed Patrol Officer at a healthcare location, you will monitor entrances and interior areas, conduct routine patrols, and help to deter security-related incidents through a visible, professional presence. You will support access control, communicate clearly with staff, patients, and visitors, and document activity using a computer or tablet as needed. Requirements

  • Have 2+ years of security-related experience.
  • Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Nice To Haves

  • Customer service experience is preferred.
  • Access control and/or badge experience is preferred.
  • Be comfortable using a computer or tablet, preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Provide customer service by carrying out Allied Universal security-related procedures, location-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities within a healthcare setting.
  • Respond to incidents, alarms, and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, documenting actions taken and notifying appropriate personnel.
  • Conduct regular and random foot patrols of interior areas, entrances, parking areas, and the perimeter to help to deter unauthorized activity and/or policy violations.
  • Monitor access points and visitor flow as assigned, assisting with directions, screening procedures, and/or badge compliance in accordance with location requirements.
  • Complete detailed reports and logs, communicate observations to site leadership and/or dispatch, and support investigations by preserving observations and relevant information.
