Job Description As a Security Officer - Site Patrol Operations in Sandston, VA , you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Tech/Media/Telecom, and more. As an unarmed Patrol Officer at a leading tech, media, and telecom location, you will monitor and patrol assigned areas, perform routine rounds, and stay highly visible to help to deter security-related incidents. You will support access control and badge procedures, respond to alarm activity, and document observations using a computer or tablet while delivering customer-focused service. Requirements

• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Nice To Haves

• Being comfortable using a computer or tablet is preferred.
• Alarm panel experience is preferred.
• Customer service experience is preferred.
• Access control and/or badge experience is preferred.
• CPR and/or First Aid experience is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to clients by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities at a technology-focused location.
• Conduct regular and random foot patrols of interior spaces, exterior grounds, parking areas, and perimeter points to help to deter unauthorized activity and/or policy violations.
• Monitor access points and verify authorization for entry, assist with visitor processing, and report access control concerns per site procedures.
• Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, including contacting site leadership and/or emergency services as directed.
• Complete accurate patrol logs, incident reports, and shift pass-downs, and communicate unusual activity, hazards, and/or maintenance concerns through the established reporting channels.
