About The Position

As a Security Officer - Retail Patrol Unarmed Full-Time in Federal Way, WA, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Retail/Malls, and more. As a Patrol Unarmed Officer with Allied Universal, you will actively monitor and patrol retail and mall locations, helping to deter security-related incidents while providing exceptional customer service. You will conduct routine patrols, remain visible to support a secure environment, and interact with visitors and tenants. Requirements

A valid driver’s license is required in accordance with Allied Universal driver policy requirements.
Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Nice To Haves

Alarm panel experience is preferred.
A state, county, or city issued security license is preferred.
A guard card or license is preferred.
CPR certification is preferred.

Responsibilities

Provide customer service by carrying out security-related procedures and site-specific policies while at the retail or mall location.
Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, following Allied Universal protocols.
Conduct regular and random patrols throughout the retail or mall premises and its perimeter to help to deter unwanted activity and/or identify potential issues.
Maintain a visible presence to help to deter theft, vandalism, and/or other unwanted behaviors within the location.
Observe and report any unusual activity, hazards, or security-related incidents to the appropriate personnel.
Assist with access control, monitoring entry and exit points as required by site-specific policies.
Support emergency response activities as needed, following the direction of Allied Universal and site management.
Communicate professionally with visitors, patrons, and/or employees, providing assistance as needed while representing Allied Universal.
