As an Unarmed Patrol Officer at a busy retail location, you will monitor and patrol assigned areas, complete routine rounds, and stay highly visible to help to deter security-related incidents. You will respond to concerns, document observations, and support store teams and visitors with professional customer service and clear communication. Requirements
- Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
- Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
- As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
- Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
- As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
- Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
- A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
- This is a primarily driving post.
Responsibilities
- Provide customer service to customers, tenants, and/or associates by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities within a retail location.
- Conduct regular and random patrols throughout sales floors, entrances, parking areas, and the perimeter to help to deter unwanted activity and/or policy violations.
- Observe and report suspicious activity, hazards, and/or maintenance concerns, and communicate findings to site leadership and/or Allied Universal supervision.
- Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, including assisting with de-escalation, contacting emergency services when needed, and completing required notifications.
- Complete security-related reports and logs, support access control and/or queue management at entrances, and assist with customer issues such as lost and found and directing visitors to the appropriate area.
