As a Security Officer - Shopping Center Vehicle Patrol in York, PA, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Retail/Malls, and more. As a Patrol Unarmed Officer with Allied Universal, you will help to deter security-related incidents by conducting routine patrols throughout retail and mall locations. Your presence on-site and commitment to customer service will contribute to a secure environment for customers and staff. Requirements

Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
A valid driver license is required in accordance with Allied Universal driver policy requirements.
A customer service background is preferred.
Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.

Responsibilities

Provide customer service to clients, visitors, and staff by carrying out security-related procedures and site-specific policies as directed by Allied Universal.
Respond to incidents and/or critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner.
Conduct regular and random patrols throughout the retail location and its perimeter to help to deter unwanted activity and identify security-related concerns.
Observe and report any suspicious activities or security-related incidents within the premises to the appropriate personnel.
Assist with access control and monitor entry and exit points to help to maintain a secure environment.
Support emergency response activities as needed according to site protocols.
Maintain a visible presence throughout the location to help to deter theft and provide assistance to customers and employees as needed.
