Job Description As a Security Officer - Shopping Center Patrol Driver in Wood Village, OR , you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Retail/Malls, and more. As an unarmed patrol officer at a busy retail location, you will monitor and patrol assigned areas, conduct routine rounds, and maintain a visible presence that can help to deter security-related incidents. This is a driving post requiring a valid driver’s license under AU Driver Policy requirements. You will support guests and associates with clear communication while reflecting Allied Universal values of agility, reliability, innovation, teamwork, caring, and integrity.
Requirements
- A valid driver’s license is required in accordance with Allied Universal driver policy requirements.
- Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
- Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
- As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
- Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
- As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
- Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
- A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

- Customer service experience is preferred.
- Being comfortable using a computer or tablet is preferred.
Responsibilities
- Provide customer service to staff and shoppers by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities at a retail location.
- Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, including addressing disturbances, disputes, and medical situations per site guidelines.
- Conduct regular and random foot patrols throughout the sales floor, entrances, back-of-house areas, and the exterior perimeter to help to deter unwanted activity and/or policy violations.
- Monitor access points and observe activity for irregular conditions, then report concerns promptly through required communication channels.
- Complete routine documentation such as patrol logs, incident reports, and shift activity notes, and coordinate with onsite leadership and/or local responders as directed.
