As an unarmed patrol officer in a busy retail and mall location, you will conduct routine vehicle and foot patrols, stay highly visible to help to deter security-related incidents, and assist customers and staff with clear communication and service. This is a driving post, so a valid driver’s license that meets Allied Universal driver policy requirements is required. Bring agility, reliability, and integrity while working as part of a supportive team.
Requirements
- A valid driver’s license is required in accordance with Allied Universal driver policy requirements.
- Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
- Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
- As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
- Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
- As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
- Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
- A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
Responsibilities
- Provide customer service to clients and guests by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and/or emergency response activities within a retail location.
- Conduct regular and random patrols throughout sales floors, entrances, loading areas, parking lots, and perimeter to help to deter theft, vandalism, and/or unauthorized activity.
- Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, including disturbances, medical calls, fire and/or intrusion alarms, and requests for assistance from store personnel.
- Monitor entrances, high-traffic areas, and/or surveillance systems as assigned; report suspicious behavior, policy violations, and/or hazards to the appropriate personnel.
- Complete detailed activity logs and incident reports, communicate updates to Allied Universal supervision and site contacts, and assist with de-escalation and customer support when needed.
