Job Description As a Security Officer Shopping Center Patrol Driver in Birmingham, AL , you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Retail/Malls, and more. As an Unarmed Patrol Officer in a retail location, you will conduct routine patrols, stay highly visible to help reduce security-related incidents, and support a welcoming customer experience through clear communication and helpful service. This is a driving post, requiring a valid driver’s license and compliance with Allied Universal Driver Policy requirements. Requirements

A valid driver’s license is required in accordance with Allied Universal driver policy requirements.
Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Responsibilities

Provide customer service to clients by carrying out security-related procedures, location-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities within a retail and mall environment.
Respond to incidents, disruptions, and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, coordinating with store leadership and/or local responders as needed.
Conduct regular and random unarmed patrols throughout the sales floor, entrances, stock areas, and exterior perimeter, with working conditions varying by location.
Monitor access points and observe customer and employee activity to help to deter theft, trespass, and other policy violations, reporting concerns through approved communication channels.
Complete detailed reports on daily activities, incidents, and observations, and communicate significant events to Allied Universal supervision and site management.
