As a Screener at a fast-paced logistics and distribution location, you will help support security-related operations by screening visitors and employees, monitoring activity, conducting routine patrols, and maintaining a visible presence. You will communicate clearly, document observations, and deliver customer-focused service at key access points. Requirements

  • Have 1+ years of security-related experience.
  • Be 21+ years of age.
  • Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Nice To Haves

  • Customer service experience is preferred.
  • A guard card/license is preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Provide customer service to clients at a logistics and distribution location by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies and when appropriate emergency response activities.
  • Screen employees, visitors and contractors at entry points using approved screening methods and equipment, following posted instructions and site requirements.
  • Control access by checking identification, verifying credentials and/or appointments, issuing temporary badges when authorized, and directing traffic to the proper processing area.
  • Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, including documenting observations and notifying site contacts and/or Allied Universal supervision as required.
  • Conduct regular and random patrols of assigned areas such as entrances, screening lanes, lobbies, exterior approaches and perimeter points as directed by site procedure.
