Job Description As a Security Officer -Employee Entrance Screener Driver in Hutchins, TX, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Logistics & Distribution, and more. As a Screener at a fast-paced logistics and distribution location, you will help manage access by greeting drivers and visitors, verifying credentials, following check-in procedures, and supporting security-related screening at entry points. You will complete routine patrols and visibility rounds, observe cameras and activity, document incidents, and communicate clearly with site teams. This is a driving post requiring a valid driver’s license, where integrity, teamwork, and a people-first approach matter.

Requirements

  • Security experience of 6+ months is required.
  • Be 21+ years of age.
  • A valid driver’s license is required in accordance with Allied Universal driver policy requirements.
  • Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Nice To Haves

  • Comfortable using a computer or tablet is preferred.
  • Customer service experience is preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Provide customer service to our clients by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and/or emergency response activities at a logistics and distribution location.
  • Screen employees, visitors, and/or drivers for authorized access by verifying identification, processing sign-in and sign-out, and maintaining accurate access logs per site requirements.
  • Conduct package, parcel, and/or vehicle entry screening using approved methods and equipment, and report prohibited items, policy violations, and/or irregularities through the proper channels.
  • Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, including documenting events, communicating with site contacts, and/or requesting assistance when needed.
  • Conduct regular and random patrols of entry points, staging areas, and perimeter areas to help to deter unauthorized access and/or suspicious activity; working environments and conditions may vary by location.
