Job Description As a Security Officer - Shelter Screening Specialist in Rock Hill, SC , you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Shelter, and more. As a Screener at a women's shelter location, you will help create a welcoming atmosphere while conducting security-related screening duties for all visitors and residents. Your role involves monitoring entry points, performing x-ray screening as needed, and utilizing technology such as computers or tablets to support daily operations. Requirements

Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.

A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Nice To Haves

X‐Ray screening experience is preferred.
Comfortable using a computer or tablet is preferred.
Customer service experience is preferred.

Responsibilities

Greet and screen individuals entering the location to help to deter unauthorized access and maintain a welcoming environment.
Carry out security-related procedures and site-specific policies, providing customer service to clients, visitors, and residents.
Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, following established protocols.
Monitor entrances and exits, verifying identification as required.
Document and report any unusual activity or incidents according to site procedures.
Collaborate with Allied Universal and location staff to address any concerns or emergencies as they arise.
Assist with emergency response activities as appropriate and directed.
