Job Description As a Security Officer - Shelter Perimeter Watch in Bronx, NY , you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Shelter, and more. As an unarmed patrol officer at this shelter location, you will monitor and patrol assigned areas, maintaining a visible presence to help to deter security-related incidents. You will engage with residents and staff, provide exceptional customer service, and communicate clearly to support a welcoming environment. Requirements

Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws. Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Responsibilities

Provide customer service by carrying out security-related procedures and following site-specific policies at the location.
Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, following Allied Universal guidelines and protocols.
Conduct regular and random patrols throughout the location and its perimeter to help to deter unwanted activity and identify potential concerns.
Observe and report any unusual activity or security-related incidents to the appropriate personnel.
Assist residents, visitors, and staff at the location by providing information and support as needed.
Participate in emergency response activities in accordance with Allied Universal and site-specific procedures.
Maintain detailed and accurate logs of patrols, incidents, and all security-related activities during the shift.
Communicate clearly and professionally with Allied Universal management, site staff, and emergency responders as required.
