About The Position
As a Security Officer Service Oriented Patrol in Columbus, OH, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Retail/Malls, and more. Join Allied Universal as an unarmed patrol officer at a dynamic retail and entertainment location, where you will conduct routine patrols, stay visible to help discourage security-related incidents, and deliver exceptional customer service and communication. Requirements
- Customer service experience is preferred.
- Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
- Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
- As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
- Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
- As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
- Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
- A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Responsibilities
- Provide customer service to guests, staff, and/or vendors by carrying out site-specific procedures, access-related protocols, and when appropriate, emergency response activities.
- Respond to incidents, disturbances, and/or guest concerns in a calm, problem-solving manner, documenting relevant details and communicating with site contacts as needed.
- Conduct regular and random patrols throughout the location, including retail, entertainment, parking, and perimeter areas, to help identify unusual activity and support security-related operations.
- Monitor entrances, exits, and high-traffic areas to help manage unauthorized access, enforce site rules, and report maintenance, hazard, and/or policy issues to the appropriate personnel.
- Support closing and opening activities, crowd management, and customer assistance during peak business periods, special events, and/or busy venue operations.
