As a Screener at a fast-paced logistics and distribution location, you will help support smooth daily operations by greeting drivers, associates, and visitors, verifying credentials, screening access points, and reporting security-related concerns. You will stay highly visible, conduct routine patrols, and use clear communication to help reduce incidents while delivering helpful customer service. Requirements

  • A guard card/license is preferred.
  • Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Responsibilities

  • Provide customer service to clients by following security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and/or emergency response activities at a logistics and distribution location.
  • Screen and verify access for employees, visitors, and drivers using site-required methods such as identification checks, credential validation, and package or bag inspections.
  • Monitor entry and exit points, shipping and receiving areas, and/or screening equipment, documenting unusual activity and reporting concerns through the appropriate channels.
  • Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, coordinating with site personnel and/or emergency services as needed.
  • Conduct regular and random patrols around the facility and perimeter, completing required reports and communicating observations to the Allied Universal supervisor and/or client contacts.
