About The Position

As a Security Officer - Security Operations Dispatcher in Los Angeles, CA, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Financial Institutions, and more. As a Dispatch Officer with Allied Universal at a financial institution location, you will monitor activity, manage radio and phone communications, and coordinate officer response to alarms, access concerns, and security-related incidents. You will help to maintain clear logs, support routine patrol coordination, and deliver professional customer service to staff and visitors. Requirements

  • Have at least 1 year of security-related experience.
  • Provide proof of a high school diploma or GED as required by the client.
  • Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Nice To Haves

  • Customer service experience is preferred.
  • Ability to lift up to 20 lbs is preferred.
  • Be comfortable using a computer or tablet is preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Provide customer service to location contacts by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities.
  • Receive and prioritize calls, alarms, and service requests; dispatch appropriate personnel and/or resources according to post orders and escalation protocols.
  • Monitor access control, intrusion alarms, CCTV, and other security-related systems; communicate observed issues to on-site staff and/or management.
  • Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, including coordinating notifications to supervisors and local emergency services when needed.
  • Complete security-related logs and reports, document incident details, track follow-up actions, and support shift turnover with clear pass-down information.
