About The Position

As a Security Officer - Security Dispatch in Maiden, NC, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Tech/Media/Telecom, and more. As a Dispatch Officer in a fast-paced tech and media location, you will monitor cameras and alarm panels, coordinate officer response, and document security-related activity using computer and/or tablet tools. You will support routine patrol operations, maintain a visible presence that helps to deter incidents, and deliver professional customer service at every interaction. Requirements

  • Have 1+ years of security experience.
  • Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Nice To Haves

  • CPR/First Aid is preferred.
  • Being comfortable using a computer or tablet is preferred.
  • Alarm panel experience is preferred.
  • Customer service experience is preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Provide customer service to clients by carrying out site-specific procedures, access control protocols, and/or emergency response activities at a technology and media location.
  • Operate dispatch and communications systems to receive calls for service, prioritize requests, and coordinate responses of on-site personnel and/or appropriate resources.
  • Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, gathering details, relaying accurate information, and documenting actions taken.
  • Monitor alarms, CCTV, and other security-related systems, and coordinate checks, lock and unlock requests, and after-hours support as directed by post orders.
  • Complete required reports, incident logs, and shift activity documentation, and communicate pertinent updates to Allied Universal management and client representatives.
