As a Front Desk Security Officer at an aero and defense location, you will be the first point of contact, greeting visitors, verifying credentials, issuing badges, and managing access control to support security-related protocols. You will monitor entry activity, document incidents and/or requests, and communicate clearly with onsite teams to help reduce unauthorized access. Requirements

  • Possess at least 6+ months of security-related experience.
  • Possess an active DoD Secret clearance.
  • Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Nice To Haves

  • Customer service experience is preferred.
  • Access control and/or badge experience is preferred.
  • A guard card and/or license is preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Provide customer service at the front desk by following site-specific access control procedures for an aerospace and defense location, including greeting visitors and directing employees, visitors, and/or contractors as needed.
  • Verify identification, issue and collect visitor badges, manage sign-in and sign-out logs, and help maintain accurate records for entry, deliveries, and/or scheduled appointments.
  • Monitor security-related systems and communications at the reception area, including CCTV views, radios, phones, and/or alarm notifications, and report unusual activity per post orders.
  • Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, including coordinating notifications to site contacts and/or emergency responders as directed.
  • Complete routine documentation such as daily activity reports, incident reports, and access logs, and communicate relevant information during shift turnovers to help support consistent operations.
