Security Officer - Secret Clearance
About The Position
As a Security Officer - Security Clearance Perimeter in Saint Charles, MO, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Aero/Defense, and more. Join Allied Universal at a leading aero and defense location where you will monitor and patrol assigned areas, conduct routine rounds, and stay highly visible to help to deter security-related incidents. You will document observations, respond to alarms and/or requests for assistance, and communicate clearly with site teams and visitors. Requirements
- Have at least 1+ years of security experience.
- Possess an active DoD Secret clearance.
- Be 21+ years of age.
- Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
- Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
- As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
- Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
- As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
- Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
- A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
Nice To Haves
- Ability to lift more than 20 lbs is preferred.
- Handcuffing certification is preferred and may be completed post hire.
Responsibilities
- Provide customer service to personnel and visitors by following site-specific security-related procedures and access control requirements at an aerospace and defense location.
- Screen and/or verify identification, credentials, and authorizations at entry points, assist with visitor processing, and help maintain required logs and documentation.
- Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, including initiating notifications and supporting emergency response activities per post orders.
- Conduct regular and random patrols of buildings, production areas, and perimeter zones to help identify unusual conditions, policy violations, and/or security-related concerns.
- Prepare clear written reports and complete required documentation for incidents, patrol activities, and access control actions, and communicate relevant information to Allied Universal supervision and site contacts.
