As a Screener in a government location, you will help support a professional, welcoming environment by screening visitors and belongings, monitoring access points, and responding to security-related concerns with strong communication and customer service. Requirements

At least 2 years of security-related experience is required.
Proof of high school diploma or GED is required.
Be at least 21 years of age.
Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Nice To Haves

X-ray screening experience is preferred.
Customer service experience is preferred.

Responsibilities

Provide customer service by carrying out screening procedures, site-specific policies, and/or emergency response activities at a government location.
Screen visitors, staff, and/or personal belongings in accordance with site protocols, reporting concerns and directing individuals through established entry procedures.
Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner while documenting security-related activities and communicating with site contacts as needed.
Monitor access points and help to deter unauthorized entry by verifying authorization, observing visitor activity, and following required screening measures.
Conduct regular and random patrols around designated areas and perimeter locations, noting unusual conditions and reporting maintenance, access, and/or security-related concerns.
