Requirements

  • Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.

Nice To Haves

  • CPR certification is preferred.
  • Customer service experience is preferred.
  • Experience with handcuffs, pepper spray, and baton is preferred.
  • A guard card and/or license is preferred.
  • An armed guard card and/or license is preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Provide customer service by carrying out site-specific screening procedures, access protocols, and/or emergency response activities at a healthcare location.
  • Screen patients, visitors, staff, and/or vendors at designated entry points, verify required credentials or visitor information, and communicate entry requirements in a professional manner.
  • Respond to incidents, unusual activity, and/or urgent situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, and report relevant details according to site procedures.
  • Help to deter unauthorized access by monitoring entrances, observing foot traffic, and documenting security-related concerns, policy violations, and/or screening results.
  • Assist with directing people to appropriate departments, answering general questions, and supporting a professional environment through courteous interactions and attention to site protocols.
