As a Patrol Unarmed Officer at an educational location, you will monitor and patrol assigned areas to help to deter security-related incidents and foster a welcoming environment. You will conduct routine patrols, remain visible, and provide exceptional customer service and communication. Requirements

At least 2 years of law enforcement, military police, or corrections experience is required.
Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Nice To Haves

Customer service experience is preferred.
A guard card or license is preferred.
Experience with access control or badge systems is preferred.

Responsibilities

Provide customer service to clients, faculty, staff, students, and visitors by carrying out security-related procedures and site-specific policies in an educational environment.
Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, following established protocols for educational locations.
Conduct regular and random patrols throughout buildings, common areas, and the perimeter to help to deter unauthorized activity and support a secure atmosphere.
Observe and report any unusual activity, security-related hazards, or maintenance issues encountered during patrols.
Assist with access control by monitoring entrances and exits and verifying credentials as needed.
Support emergency response activities, including guiding occupants during evacuations and/or lockdowns as directed by site procedures.
Maintain detailed and accurate records of incidents, patrols, and daily activities in accordance with Allied Universal and client requirements.
Collaborate with on-site staff, law enforcement, and/or emergency responders as necessary to address security-related concerns.
