As an unarmed Patrol Officer at a government education location, you will perform routine foot and/or bike patrols, remain highly visible, and document security-related observations to help reduce incidents. This is a driving post requiring a valid driver’s license, supporting patrol coverage and response as needed. You will deliver professional customer service and clear communication while working with a team that is agile, reliable, innovative, and guided by integrity and a people-first culture.

Requirements

Be at least 21 years of age.
A valid driver’s license is required in accordance with Allied Universal driver policy requirements.
Be able to ride a bike.
Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Responsibilities

Provide customer service to clients by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities at a government location supporting public education operations.
Conduct regular and random patrols of buildings, grounds, parking areas, and perimeter to help to deter unauthorized activity and/or policy violations, with working conditions that may vary by assignment.
Respond to incidents, disturbances, and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, including coordinating with site staff and emergency services as directed.
Monitor access points and interior areas as assigned, reporting suspicious activity, hazards, and/or maintenance concerns to site contacts and Allied Universal supervision.
Complete timely reports and logs, communicate observations to shift leadership, and support site rules related to visitor management, student and staff movement, and special events as assigned.
