Job Description As a Security Officer - Hospital Entry Screener in Philadelphia, PA , you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Healthcare, and more. As a Screener in a healthcare location, you will welcome staff, patients, and visitors while helping maintain security-related access at key entry points. You will support badge and access-control processes, conduct routine screening and observation, document activity, and communicate concerns to the appropriate teams. Requirements

  • Be at least 21 years of age.
  • Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Nice To Haves

  • Experience with computers or tablets is preferred.
  • Ability to lift more than 20 pounds is preferred.
  • Access control and/or badge experience is preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Provide customer service to patients, visitors, and staff at a healthcare location by following Allied Universal site-specific procedures, access guidelines, and security-related policies.
  • Conduct entry screening as assigned, including greeting entrants, verifying identification and/or appointment information, asking required screening questions, and directing individuals to the appropriate check-in or care area.
  • Control access at designated entrances by managing visitor logs, issuing and/or collecting temporary credentials as directed, and helping to deter unauthorized entry.
  • Respond to incidents, policy concerns, and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, including contacting site leadership and/or emergency responders per post orders.
  • Complete routine observations of nearby entry areas and interior corridors as assigned, report suspicious activity and/or hazards, and document screening results, incidents, and shift activity in required logs.
